Hello! I’m Francisca Moreira, Founder and Cake Designer at Poetry Food.

I’m 29 years old, I hold a degree in Sports Sciences, with specializations in Sports Management and Communication, Leadership, and Coaching.

For six years, I led a sports facility, managing teams and organizing over 16 sporting events, each with over 1000 participants. Although successful in that field, the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic prompted me to rethink my path and merge two of my passions: art and culinary.

In 2021, I took the leap and decided to fully dedicate myself to Cake Design, something that truly captivates me.

My background in sports management provided me with an innovative perspective on the concept of Cake Design, resulting in a new business aimed at creating edible art. I invested in various basic cake design courses to master all the fundamentals of this craft, standing out in each one for my creativity.

Subsequently, I pursued national and international courses with a stronger artistic focus, learning innovative and distinctive techniques that allowed me to materialize my disruptive ideas. Additionally, I developed my own Cake Design techniques, drawing inspiration from sculpture, ceramics, and various forms of art.
